Tyre-Kickers, and Freebie seekers …. move along !

It never ceases to amaze me how many businesses out there are looking for high quality services – in many types of industries/categories – but are unwilling to “pay the ferryman” for these services.

Some classic examples in my space, the Corporate Advisory space:

  • Haggling on success fees;
  • Refusing to pay retainers, which also makes the client unaccountable for deadlines and outcomes;
  • Making stage payments based on outcomes that the client business is currently incapable of meeting.

As I said, it never ceases to amaze me that businesses still try to get away with that shit.  As the world – well, except the US and Europe – lurch out of the GFC and into a re-expanding economy all those freebie seeker businesses will be forced back to the bottom of the barrel to get access to services.

…. And that is the way it should be !!!!
